Great River
The Great River consortium focuses on increasing student achievement in elementary mathematics. In addition, they hope to lessen the achievement gaps between those receiving free and reduced lunch and those who do not. The "Every Student Counts" initiative will be at the center of this project. This initiative aims to integrate problem-based instructional tasks and meaningful distributed practice of concepts, skills and problem solving to help students develop a greater understanding of the application of math skills, logic and reasoning.
