I received my Ph.D. in the agricultural education program from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Before joining PERL, I worked as a research assistant in the Psychology Department at ISU. Research projects I've been involved with included exploring the mediator and moderator variables between attachment and psychological distress and coping with discrimination and acculturative stress.

I was excited to join PERL due to my educational background. I taught for 9 years in a high school and for 2 years at a teachers' college in Taiwan. I'm currently involved with the E2T2 project in the Lab which very much matches my research interests. Also, I am happy to work in this friendly and supportive environment.

I love my family (my wife and two daughters). We like to travel and visit the National Parks each summer. I enjoy playing tennis and badminton once or twice a week.
