Petra Hofstedt
I am finishing up my Masters degree in Education, emphasizing in Educational Psychology. I had been working as a graduate assistant in the Lab since 2004, but have recently moved into a P&S position in October of 2006. Since starting in the Lab, I have focused my work on the Special Education Teacher Retention Study but have recently picked up additional responsibilities with the E2T2 project.
My husband and I moved to Ames from our home state of Minnesota back in 2002 so he could begin the graduate program in Sociology. We had a baby girl, our first child, back in October of 2005. In the madness of graduate work, she instantly put a whole new perspective on life with her of course being in the center of it all.
